Popscotti Genetics for the Paradoxical

Popscotti is a strain birthed from the combination of Biscotti and Red Pop. This strain is a 70/30 split, 70% indica, 30% sativa, resulting in an Indica-leaning hybridization.

For the average consumer, this 70/30 split translates to a heavier feel, as is typical of most indica and indica-leaning strains. For the paradoxically inclined, this is not the case at all. I abstained from cannabis all morning until it was time to test. The following details are from my day testing this particular strain and only this strain until I was satisfied with the thoroughness of my review.

The Test Parameters and Ratings

Setting: Home on a Sunday morning, around 11:00 a.m.

Volcano Classic flower vaporizer.

One gram of Popscotti flower rendered two bowls. Each bowl held about half a gram of flower, which generated six bags per bowl.

The first five bags of each bowl were the best in terms of overall vapor density and flavor, with the first two being the tastiest and most aromatic, while the last bag of each bowl tasted like hot breath and what old folks call "sock water." Boom. Stale. That's it.

So, here are some of the things I thought were noteworthy at the time of my testing of this product:

  • The bags have been pretty dank and cloudy.

  • Round 1 - Bag 3 and that bowl is going HARD

  • Cough rating: 2 out of 5

  • Funniness rating: 4 out of 5 - my comedic timing was insane

  • Focus rating: 5 out of 5 - Felt super sharp. My notes are detailed and concise. I'm getting shit done!

  • Cravings < Hunger Suppressant

  • Activity > Sedentary

  • Body high < Brain high

    • in a sharp-cheddar-type way, not a cloudy/foggy high. Uplifted and light, not heavy at all.

Conclusion

I'd say a more fitting name would be PopStudy because it cracked me out like Adderall. I got so much done while I was consuming this strain. I did laundry, cleaned the house, repotted several plants that needed new homes for the Fall, did some homework, cooked, and found time to read several chapters of the three books I was reading. Yeah. Wild.

This strain brought me joy and focus, which were both a surprise but welcome.

I need this strain on tap and at all times. It resonated with my body. I felt more body positivity, which is welcome considering body dysmorphia, so my body felt happy & my brain felt smart. It was magical to feel this focused and productive considering how much I consumed!

Alongside this info, I also wanted to share a quick update that directly affects my review. I have been consistently swimming three times a week for the past few weeks and am happy to report an improvement in my lung capacity. Previously, it would take me four regular breaths and one baby breath to empty a balloon, but now I only need three regular breaths and one baby breath, which is a reduction of 1-1.5 breaths!

Starting this week, I will be swimming four times a week and tracking my progress as it relates to lung capacity + flower vaporization. I will share my results once I have them. This is a curious way to measure two things at once!

Science!

I highly recommend taking note of the strains you consume when searching for something to help your various needs. And I mean detailed notes for yourself. Keep a little consumption journal or a notepad with bullet points to remind yourself why you liked or disliked that strain or product, paper or digital, whatever floats your boat. It'll honestly keep costs down for you and help you gain knowledge of what your body likes and what it hates!

If you are here because you are also paradoxical, welcome aboard and I hope this information helps. There are no manuals or guides for cannabis or paradoxical effects, or both. Hopefully, this helps you along your journey. I wish I had some kind of support along my cannabis journey, so it's important for me to provide some guide/support to those who are also in a similar situation.

If you are not paradoxical, I'm curious what you think of the strain.
